The mission that unites us
Vocation for the poor
We are a Non-Governmental Organization for Development. Our members live and act with a focus on prioritizing the poor; they direct their efforts towards the human and spiritual development of people, the fight against poverty, and active engagement with the contexts of social exclusion that occur in the countries and environments where the Association is present.
We were born to promote, facilitate, support, and coordinate the presence and evangelizing work of Vincentian laypeople in the Mission. Our relationship with the Congregation of the Mission, the Company of the Daughters of Charity, and other lay associations of the Vincentian Family is spiritual, charismatic, and collaborative. Misevi is registered with the Ministry of Justice and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

What moves us
TO PROVIDE human, moral, spiritual, educational, and financial support to missions, especially those belonging to the Association or linked to other branches of the Vincentian Family. This support is realized through the sending of laypeople who offer their missionary service and through material support for the various projects they work on. TO ENHANCE the human and missionary formation, and the spiritual life of its members. TO PROMOTE and support awareness-raising and development cooperation actions.
The missions.
The Lay Missionaries of Misevi work with the poorest and most marginalized groups in the countries where the organization is present—currently Bolivia and Angola—to work on projects related to health, education, and integration to improve people’s quality of life.
